What is Photosynthetic Lighting?

POD – Photosynthesis On Demand starts with photosynthetic lighting for greenhouses or indoor facilities.

Light and CO2 power our machine, aka, plant.
By adding light to the natural conditions in the area, photosynthetic light arrays allow greenhouse owners to get consistent yields all year long.
For CEA (Controlled Environment Agriculture) facilities, lighting arrays are planned to provide the right amount of light at the right spectrum for optimal growth, quality, and maximum yield, even if there isn’t enough natural light where the facility is.

You are getting:

High-power photosynthetic lighting arrays that produce high intensity. More light leads to more photosynthesis and more biomass/yield.

Breaking it down:

  • A form factor that addresses the type of installation.
  • Lighting solutions for all stages of growth.
  • Minimalist design for as slight shading as possible of greenhouses.
  • Solutions for indoor SSL (Sole Source Lighting) facilities with tables, shelves, and vertical grows that allow installation close to the plant canopy and shorter shelf heights.
  • A variety of hanging brackets for quick and simple installation.
  • A choice between different light spectrums to accommodate specific solutions according to the facility’s location and the client’s targets.
  • Products are dimmable.

How do we do it?

We begin with each project’s preliminary analysis to understand its goals and limiting factors. We then characterize the best light treatment to meet our goals within the set boundaries. The next step is to design the light array so that it gives the desired light treatment and meets DLI targets with the chosen spectrum.
